i Art you Malaysia

Did you know Petronas's festive TV commercials have celebrated our country's unique cultural heritage in a short, easily relatable & meaningful story form for many years? And for this year, Petronas also debuted a short web film with purpose of telling us a story, which about its employees and the challenges they endure as they serve their company and nation. So here i was, in the launch of the Petronas Raya, Merdeka and Malaysia Day Campaign.

Dato Mohammad Medan Abdullah giving speech

Said Dato Mohammad Medan Abdullah, Senior General Manager, Group Corporate Affairs Division of Petronas: "This festive season, we want to pay tribute to all who are out there serving our beloved nation - especially our own staff. Despite the challenges they face, they adapt quickly to the environment they are in and take everything in their stride. That's the spirit that should be nurtured, admired, celebrated and emulated.

As human beings, sometimes we do not realise the good thing that we have until it is taken away from us. In this instance, it's only when we live in another country that we realise just how wonderful  our own country is. It's also about self-discovery, of realising what really matters in life, and about what we have and can offer to others."

This short film entitled Strangers was debuted on Petronas YouTube Page on 6th August. The film focuses on its main character Erman, a young Petronas engineer based in Central Asia. His story begins when he is unable to return home to spend Hari Raya with his family, but his true journey begins when his path crosses that of a local boy, Jeyhun.

Not merely about exploration and adventure, the film is also about a journey of self-discovery. Every step of the way brings Erman closer to realising his true potential, reimagining his energy to contribute to the world he lives in, and discovering his inner strength to make a difference to those around him.
A nice twist to the film is the interview with real Petronas' employees stationed overseas. Unscripted and spontaneous, the interviews reveal how being away from home strengthens their love and appreciation of Malaysia.

It made me realising the connection or relationship or feeling occurred between every individual or human being in this world is such wonderful, even him and him were just strangers from the very beginning. And yes we should always contributing to other who needs help as long as we living on this earth. Do not underestimate what you can do, but reimagining your ability to accomplish what you need to or want to do, just like Petronas tagline 'Reimagining Energy'~

Besides the debuting of short film, Petronas has also undertook a series of other activation programmes to inculcate the spirit of patriotism among the younger generation, to bring Malaysians from all walks of life together to celebrate the three occasions. which are:

I Art You Malaysia Exhibition (14 August 2012 - 30 September 2012)
This programme gathered around 240 schoolchildren from both  Peninsular and East Malaysia  illustrating what they love best about our country. You can view their creativity through their artworks of portraying their love for our nation. Do visit this exhibition at GALERI PETRONAS, Level 3, Suria KLCC, Petronas Twin Towers, 50088 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Video above showed how those artworks been collected. Check here for some photos behind the scene~ And here's some photo from the event:

Sentuhan Kasih Ramadan Petronas
Petronas' signature CSR programme that aims to give back to the underprivileged members of the society and at the same time promote the spirit of giving and volunteerism among Petronas' staffs. And for this year, over 100 staff, Petronas Facebook fans and bloggers brought the festive joy to the Orang Asli settlement in Bukit Kala, Gombak. In a gotong-royong spirit, they cleaned the river along the Bukit Kala vicinity, refurbished three major bridges in the area, prepared a kenduri for close to 1,500 villagers and contributes food hampers to over 180 families.

In turn, the Orang Asli villagers taught Petronas' staff, Facebook fans and bloggers a thing or two on their culture. This included the demonstration of their traditional cooking method and sumpit blowing.

RW Genting Mooncake post

And few days back then, my post is also been displayed on the RW Genting Mooncake Event page as well. What made me thrilled is that my collage pichas had been used in their headline. Look up there, the 5 in 1 pichas hehe. Waa such an honour leh LOL. So it means my photo is really nice la right ahaha. *self satisfaction* but honestly I'm feeling good, better and better being a blogger *big smile* Enjoyed hanging out with new peoples, socializing around, trying new stuffs, attend lots of events, most important is blogging to record what I've been through and might lemme know myself more, just MIGHT, and also find my direction in the future. And if you know me in real person, you might find out I'm actually quite passive and quiet. Unless I got this special feeling to a certain person & I can talks alot to 'em hmm.

Aaargh back to topic, read my blog post about RW Genting Mooncakes here. We even made our own mooncake, by our own hands for sure. It was lovely, delicious, and already been eaten haha. My family used to go Genting very often when we were small kids. So practically I spent most of my childhood moments there yeah. Even now grown up, it is still the best choice for me to go there to take a short break, to be away from the busy city. Also to enjoy the cooling weather #love. Don't even mention I got sunburned there la for sure. Because there were no mist that time when I was there.

It's 3am now, why I'm still awake? Because of rushing my FYP la duhhh. Recently my biological clock has been twisted 180 degree rather than the normal one. I sleep around 6-8am, wake around 2-3pm LOL! Totally zombie life. Luckily my skin still perfectly smooth & bright, not bragging but I really had no acne before! Not even when puberty wee, and I thanks god for that. It's such a great thing for girls~ As I can't imagine  myself dealing with acnes also @@ My only problem just the dark eye circles. Hope can get rid of it someday? urghh~ Haven't show my face for days, because not free to cam whore laaaaa hmm. But here's some of the outcomes from the previous photo test shoot. Hope y'll like it ^^ and I can't wait for the real shoot in coming week yeah~

Goodnight for now. I'm gonna continue my FYP. Wish me lucks, and I wish y'll good luck in a whole new day also. All the best in everything. XOXO, with love. Muah!

Plan B at Mid Valley

Just a quick update for today, hmm i mean yesterday (now already 2am) & I'm kinda sleepy now. So I went to college for photoshoot by my friend from photography, it is underwater theme, wish i can get the photo asap & show you guys hehe. After I went Mid Valley to watch Resident Evil with my man. Honestly it's not really worth that much to watch. Those scenes like when you're playing game, story line nothing special, it don't even has suspense. If you like to watch girls with nice body shape & can fight well, then it shall be okay I guess. Just personally felt a bit bored. A lil disappointed compared to previous chapter.

Li Bing Bing & Milla Jovovich in Resident Evil
As cool as usual
Li Bing Bing as Ada Wong, like her accent when speaking in english
She has really hawwt body shape teehee

We settled our dinner at Plan B. It's located at Ground floor, open from 10am to 11pm. They have these modern Aussie-meets-New York-deli menu. Price is slightly expensive but worth it. Yellow lighting & Jazz musics makes me feel so much better in my dining experience. And they serving water FOC, with these bottle & cups #love. I really like these kind of special touching in serving for a restaurant. See the lighting makes all pichas looks so nice. I don't even need to PS them XD

Babe ordered Macchiato, I'm satisfied with water since it's good for body & health. The Macchiato actually came in a very fancy small cup #lovely

Macchiato

Ma babe's Beef Bolognese, I love the beef #munchy. Taste & texture of perfection with little sour from tomatoes slurpp~

When it comes to spaghetti or pasta, my choice is always Carbonara! Creamy thing and mushrooooms is ma love! Just this Carbonara is a lil tasteless for me, I love heavy cheese taste hehe #fattening

When you use a fork to roll on spaghetti, always roll it towards your right side. It represents good luck *smile* We enjoyed our meal so much. Yet another simple & happy day ♥

Slurpp~

Sleepy head signing off. XOXO, night peeps~ ♥ muah!!

Eat Your Water

Last Saturday, I went to this Dr. Murad Blogger Event at Alexis Bistro & Wine bar, The Gardens. It is so exclusive that only 10 of the bloggers get invited #love. Million thanks to NN & Deacon Medical for organizing such an awesome event, for letting us get the chance to gain more knowledge about skincare & giving us such nice treats ^^

They are such thoughtful for us, to create such nice & comfortable ambiance to let us have fun through the whole event. Check out our table decoration~ #lovely

Dr. Howard Murad is the founder of Murad Skincare. Do you ever know he is a doctor, a pharmacist, and also a dermatologist? His famous writing is The Water Secret. One of his philosophies is "Eat Your Water", meaning example like, Instead of drinking 8 cups of water per day, try eating more fruits & vegetables. Eating these foods actually makes you stay hydrated for longer time.

Ice Breaking Session #happy
" Eat Your Water " - by Dr. Howard Murad
love their idea with the apple

Try imagine a fresh grape as our body cell, while external harms like pollution/sun rays/dust as a needle poking the grape. So the grape has a lot of holes already right? Then what will happen when you consume 8 cups of water per day? Eventually the water will be leaking out from the holes @@ so here comes water toxic, you body & face will be like swollen and looks fat #OMG. I personally drink 1 liter of water with half lemon every day, enough to flush out the toxic will be good. But still, i will become thinner only after woke up from bed, then get swollen in afternoon & night again #sadcase. So we need addition nutrients from fruits & veges to repair our cell hence can 'hold' the water inside. And Dr. Murad is the first that actually works on internal consumption products for skincare. *thumbs up*

And so, thanks to Ms. Wong Pui Chion for teaching us so much. She is a profession from Deacon Medical (authorized distributor in Malaysia), and being such lovely & nice to us. We asked her quite lots of things haha. You know girls for sure got lotsa questions about skincare right hehe. Oh btw, Ms. Wong said that watermelon can increase our body protection against SPF by 20% #wow, but don eat too many yea because the sugar level inside can cause people get fat @@ And pomegranate is antioxidant & very hydrated for our body #love

Lovely Ms. Wong Pui Chion~
Everyone's so focus on Teacher Wong's lecture
And here's the facial time! What? Washing face at a place like this? Do they have sink? No kidding. We're goin to do our facial cleansing & everything on the dining table. The first time in our life washing face like this LOL.
Our props~
love that mirror, thinking wanna get one at home XD
Face cleansing time~
I didn't put makeup on that day so it became lots easier hehe
Remember to relax & feel the sensation when cleansing & putting skincare
let your skin to be free from fatigue & brightly shine
Hydrated toner hmm nice & moisture
girl inside is Lumi, love her dip dye hair hehe
Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest on 'em all?
I know it's not me @@
What bloggers always do hehe
Povy even ask questions when dining lolx
Our food! Thanks Deacon Medical for the treats ♥
We have these ice lemon tea, salad, sandwiches & tiramisu. It was a really healthy meal, which  means good for skin hehe. I love the avocado inside sandwiches. Tiramisu at Alexis is a must try! Don't get shocked when they served it with chili sauce because it is actually strawberry jam, and i thought why so weird it came with chili sauce @@ The strawberry jam is a lil sour with the sweetness of tiramisu makes it the signature dessert in Aleixs slurpp~

Eating time!!

Group photo of the day, saying "Eat Your Water"
And on Monday night, I had made my order of Murad products in their website. Just few clicks then you'll get the stuffs delivered to your doorsteps, Free Shipping & Free samples! You can also do online skin analysis to get the products suits you best. What to wait?
